Adventure Motorcycle Build

This build was based on a 1998 Honda Transalp, in order to be able to travel comfortably around the world and tackle as many off road kilometres as possible.

Being often in remote places, reliability and ease of “road fixing” was more superior over performance.

Custom Crashbars

Crash bars were custom shaped and crafted out of stainless steel roll cage tubing. a slim fit, hugging the extended tank enabled ample protection without sacrificing manoeuvrability and knee space.

Extended Fuel Range

250km as a fuel range doesn’t get you too far, therefor a long distance fuel tank was constructed out of sheetmetal. Patterns were made, steel was folded and shaped, TIG welded, primed and painted. Each side has its own valve and quick connector for easy removal or isolation in case of damage.

Custom Engine Guards

Several other smaller parts such as engine guards, oil reservoir protector, chain guard and exhaust protector were fabricated out of stainless steel parts.

Ready to Conquer the World

This bike successfully rode all the way from Belgium to New Zealand, covering about 30 countries, more than 130.000km’s, drowned twice, road all the way up to 5700m alt., from -15°C  to 50°C , sometimes loaded with a surfboard and 70kg of luggage and had no major breakdown.

You could say she is a bit of a slow and old horse, but a damn sure reliable one.
